From an LDRS newbie; If I will attending multiple days, is the norm to leave my Sun Shelter up overnight? Same question for my tables & chairs?

It is your call...watch the weather and do the responsible thing....lowering the pop up at night and a good set of stakes help minimize potential disasters.

Since I'm traveling nearly 3,000 miles (and shipping my rockets and equipment is already costing as much as my airline ticket ), my concern is a little different. Will there be any shade since I'm not bringing an EZ Up?

None.
If you need shade, you'll need to provide it yourself. Trees and rockets don't do well together. There is a partial treeline to the west, but the vendors will be parked next to them. The Rangehead itself is a 40 acre hayfield... (recently mowed)
The parking page shows where you will be parked on the field, Or you see the nearest shade in the image below....

Something short. Beans carrots or onions. The farmer laid out his crops specifically so the short stuff would be close to us and the corn and potatoes are to the south and far north.

That sounds good, it's just too bad you couldn't talk him into becoming a sod farmer!

At 40K per acre yield for his onions, he tends to plant mostly onions. One of the farmers who planted onions on these acres, has a couple million in crop planted and they asked us to be careful if we land there. edited by medutch on 6/17/2009

I can understand that! Onions will be MUCH better than soybeans. In Indiana we get either Corn or beans, neither of which works well with rocketry. If I get the chance, I may tell the farmer that farms the land we have, to think onions instead of corn!

4.5m and he only has 170 acres. All told, the 3 major farms gives us ~2200 acres to recover on, as long as we work hard to not damage their crops.
